POMC is the only national organization which is specifically for the survivors of homicide victims and which follows up with supportive family services after the murder of a family member or friend. The Maine Chapter holds monthly meetings on the 4th Sunday of every month, in the Conference Room 1 B1103 at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta at noon. They provide a network of support, supplies information about the grief process, organizes a speakers bureau and provides accompaniment for survivors to court proceedings.
