Description

This is a statewide listing of animal shelters.

*There are almost always adoption fees associated with rescued animals. Generally these fees pay for vet check-ups, shots, spaying/neutering but not always (check first). Occasionally the fees also cover transportation from another state (also check for certificates). Some also require contracts, vet references, and proof of landlord approval. Sometimes a home visit is required. Generally the larger nonprofit shelters will also work to ensure a good fit between potential owner and pet before adoption.
