Welcome to the Changing Maine Directory (CMD)! Here you'll find an extensive list of nonprofit organizations and grassroots groups working to make Maine a healthier, more just, more peaceful place. Each listing includes detailed descriptions and the most up-to-date contact information for a number of nonprofit, grassroots, progressive, social change, and social service organizations and agencies throughout the State of Maine. Previously called the Maine Alternative Yellow & Green Pages, since 1986 Resources for Organizing and Social Change has continuously worked to keep CMD entries current, accurate and relevant to help empower folks looking to create positive social change for themselves and others. The CMD offers a compilation listing of over 1,500 organizations, groups, and resources, which were last updated in print in the Spring of 2009, and are currently in the process of being updated and added to again. We expect fine tuning of this online resource and soon-to-follow updated print resource to be complete sometime in 2016, so check back frequently for additional listings and categories.
