Community Water Justice is a network of impacted Maine communities working to strengthen water rights locally and regionally.

Community Water Justice was established in 2012 in Fryeburg, Maine, by local residents organizing against a proposed 45 year contract between the town’s private water utility and Poland Spring. Since then, the network has expanded and worked with frontline communities on a wide range of issues connected to the health, access and sustainability of water sources.
