Food AND Medicine’s mission is to organize, educate, and empower workers and our communities in the fight for economic and social justice. Food AND Medicine believes that by working together with unions, farmers, community groups, small businesses, and faith-based organizations we will create solutions and positive change. The Worker Center of Eastern Maine, Food AND Medicine’s largest project, is about gaining a voice and fairness at work. They organize educational programs, direct actions and offer support and information on worker rights questions through our toll-free hotline (1-866-933-WCEM) and open hours (1:00pm–3:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays).
