Founded in 1984, Mabel Wadsworth Center is the only private, not-for-profit, free-standing feminist health center in Maine and one of fewer than 20 in the United States. The purpose of Mabel Wadsworth Center is to provide educational and clinical services in sexual and reproductive health care to women regardless of age, ability, race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, or economic resources.
