Mano En Mano’s mission is to build a stronger and more inclusive Downeast Maine by working with diverse populations to provide educational and affordable housing opportunities, remove barriers to health and social services, and advocate for social justice. They are a center for language and culture in Washington/Hancock counties for Spanish speaking people. They offer free English as a Second Language classes and assist local educational, medical, and social service agencies to better serve migrant Hispanic populations. Mano En Mano also provides meeting space, interpretation, educational materials, and training in cultural issues for this population.
